Frank L. Baum govori o odrastanju, običnom odrastanju, tvom i mom.”

PLAYWRIGHT’S NOTE

“Oz is not a non-existent country, possibly accessible through a tornado, exclusively for people from Texas named Dorothy. In fact, we all went through it, some for a shorter, some for a longer period and some of us did not leave it the whole life, not finding a way out of this magical Oz – magical land of childhood. Magic should not be reduced solely to the activity of the Good Witch of the South, who would make childhood the land of flowering justice and happiness, smiles on faces and good emotions. Childhood is full of weakness, ignorance, indecision, roads without signposts and in particular – fear. What are the Wicked Witch of the East and the Wicked Witch of the West other than the embodiment of fear? And what is the pursuit of Oz other than the magic itself, as a thought, projection, channeling energy towards the desired? What most desire is to grow up. We killed our fears, and courageously, on our own feet we move on. The magic of childhood leaves us just with our friends from that time, as an inexhaustible value of each life. Some other books are written on those who stayed in Oz. Frank L. Baum speaks about growing up, plain growing up, yours and mine.”
